A four-bedroom move is especially sensitive to furniture quantity, garage contents and whether several large items can be dismantled. A property label is therefore a weak substitute for an itemised inventory.
The current preset models around 300 sq ft for a practical layout and around 350 sq ft if regular access is important. This is not a recommendation for every 4-bedroom house; change the inventory to match your belongings.
What changes the result?
- How many sofas, wardrobes, mattresses and large appliances you are actually storing.
- Whether bed frames, tables, shelving and wardrobes can be dismantled.
- How tightly boxes can be stacked and whether fragile items limit stacking height.
- Whether you need a walkway or regular access to possessions at the back of the unit.

Why not choose from the property size alone?
Two homes with the same number of bedrooms can have completely different storage requirements. One may have minimal furniture and built-in wardrobes; another may contain several freestanding wardrobes, garden equipment, desks, bikes and appliances.
